The club’s biggest event🚨

For the past few years SCNSP has been organizing the Handisport Day. This year it takes place at the end of the month, on July 30, 2021. Make a note of it in your diaries!

With about 20 people participating, everyone can make between 2 and 3 runs. The club has developed equipment adapted to all types of disabilities. At the beginning of the day everyone is shy and as time goes by smiles are exchanged, words are released and everyone has a great day! This day is organized with the help of the Handisport Committee and the club benefits from a subsidy from the ANS for the organization of this free day for the participants.

An anecdote about the club? 🤪

During the Champions Trophy organized by the club in 2018, a fundraiser for the ELA association was organized. To raise funds, the club had invited the actors of the series Plus Belle la Vie (French TV Serie) to do the show (Sponsors of the association).  They had to camp on site in tents in the evening to ride the next day. When they arrived, bad weather was on the agenda and everyone was very afraid they would leave before the next day. But in the end, everyone stayed and the sun was out for the day of entertainment!

The consequences of the COVID-19 😷

Last summer the French went less far and opted for the mountains. This increase in attendance was felt in the numbers and within the club. This summer, the same pattern seems to be emerging, with regular members still active.

As far as sanitary standards are concerned, we had to follow the protocols, notably by limiting the number of places and disinfecting. Nevertheless, everything was done in a good atmosphere, as people came to clear their heads.

The affiliation to the FFSNW, which advantages?  🥳

The club has always been affiliated with the FFSNW. The federation is a direct contact that helps the club with insurance, licensing and general assistance.

Furthermore, the FFSNW has reactive members who are also a force of proposal with, for example, the implementation of labels that enhance the structures or the organization of competitions and training days.
